NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems Online Training Seri

Anyone who needs to learn about the fundamentals of the NFPA 13 standard, its components, and requirements for fire sprinklers and installation, including: engineers, plan reviewers, designers, installers, inspectors, manufacturers, insurers, consultants, and project managers.

This NFPA 13 online training series contains the following courses:

• Water Supplies and Underground Piping
• System Basics and Design
• System Components
• Fire Sprinkler Installation Requirements
• Fire Sprinkler Locations, Systems Design Approaches, and Calculations

This six-module online course is developed to help learners understand the fundamentals of NFPA 13, updated to reflect the 2025 edition of the standard. Included with all the fundamentals are updates to the sloped ceiling criteria protecting storage arrangements, vacuum systems used to inhibit corrosion in dry and preaction systems, the newest seismic bracing design requirements, and the latest requirements for supplemental sprinklers.

Upon completion, you should be able to:

• Navigate NFPA 13 and identify the scope and purpose of the standard
• Apply the sprinkler decision-making process
• Explain the requirements for water supplies and underground piping
• Determine the appropriate system type
• Locate and apply system component requirements
• Apply installation requirements for sprinkler systems

Complete this six-hour online training series and qualify for 0.6 CEUs. Completion of each one-hour course qualifies you for 0.1 CEU. After successfully completing a course or the course series, participants will be prompted to download the CEU certificate directly from the course site.
